General Policy
From time to time, we would organize special issues/symposiums focusing on topics which we consider as of great significance or worth exploring. While we propose a list for potential topics, we are open to new initiatives. Meanwhile, we offer a generous renumeration package for the ISE Guest Editor.
Generally, the responsibilities of the Guest Editor mainly include:
Soliciting papers for the special issue/symposium he/she is interested in;
Overseeing the peer review process and making sure that accepted papers meet the publication standards of the journal;
Finalizing the table of contents and writing the editorial/introduction (if necessary) for the special issue/symposium.
For a special issue, 6-8 papers (160-180 pages, just like a regular issue of the ISE) will do, while a symposium will include no less than 3 research articles.
To facilitate all parties involved, all submissions will be processed via ISE’s online portal(Manuscripts Central): http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/isec
And our Editor Assistant will help the Guest Editor to track on manuscripts progress and keep everything on schedule.
To be a Guest Editor for the ISE, please fill in the ISE Memorandum on the Organization of Special Issue/Symposium.
