World Bank Economist Dr. Lili Liu Employed as the Special-term Professor of IAR

In January 2014, Dr. Lili Liu, who is the lead economist at Department of Public Management and Institutional Reform of Europe and Middle Asia at the World Bank, is employed as the special-term professor of IAR.

Dr. Lili Liu got her Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Michigan. Currently Dr. Lili Liu holds other positions at the World Bank including member of City and Transportation Department Commission and Chairman of Decentralization and Local Economic Subject Group. Dr. Lili Liu used to be the director of the public finance subject of economic policy and the debt of local government at the World Bank from 2004 to 2012. Besides, she has hosted several consult  projects of the World Bank's policies and programs in developing countries.

Dr. Lili Liu has made great achievements in the fields of Public Finance, Local Finance and Its Relationship with the Macro economy, Intergovernmental Fiscal System, Capital Market Development and Infrastructure Financing, etc. She has been invited to give seminars to several universities including Columbia University, Duke University and Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Lili Liu will provide international experience and intelligence support to the study of the IAR in the problems of strategic issues and current difficulties especially the problems of finance and monetary.
