On behalf of the Frontiers of Economics in China (FEC), Mr. Hai Liu, Director of Social Science and Humanities Academic Journal Division, Higher Education Press, attended the "Academic Journals Forum" during the 16^th China Economics Annual Conference (CEAC) on the evening of December 3^rd at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan. At the Forum, Mr. Liu briefly introduced the latest progress of the FEC (being listed into "2016 Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China", and having published lots of good quality papers by established scholars). He also mentioned a question of great concern whether the journal has been included in SSCI, and said some basic fact would provide a general picture of where we are: in terms of the impact factor, FEC, with the figure rising to 0.274 for the year 2015, outperformed about 40 SSCI journals in economics (for 2015), and would have to overtake about 50 journals ahead to guarantee its successful inclusion in the SSCI. "Both the FEC editorial team and we as the publisher have been working really hard and we are fully confident in the journal’s future", Mr. Liu added.

Also present at the Forum were representatives from China Economic Journal and several Chinese journals including China Economic Quarterly, Journal of Environmental Economics and Review of Economic Research.
