We are pleased to announce that the FEC appears on the list of "2016 The Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China (Humanities and Social Sciences)", ranking 23^rd among 60 selected journals as per the Annual Report for International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals (CAJ-IJCR) newly released at the "2^nd Forum on the Future of Chinese Academic Journals" held in Beijing during November 22-23, 2016. This is the first time the journal has moved up to this list, after being selected into the list of "Excellent International Impact Academic Journals of China" in 2014 and 2015. According to the Report, the international impact factor of the FEC has risen to 0.274 while its international total cites have amounted to 61, a good progress compared to the figures released at the 1^st Forum last year, 0.133 and 42.

Jointly conducted by China Academic Journals (CD) Electronic Publishing House and Tsinghua University Library, the 2016 Annual Report collected the total international cites of 6169 academic journals run by Chinese universities, institutes or publishers. Based on such data and the impact factor, the journals’ impact indexes are formulated, and the top 5% (incl. 175 in science and technology and 60 in humanities and social sciences altogether) make up the list of "2016 The Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China". Among the 60 journals in humanities and social sciences on the list, only two are English language journals in economics.
