It is with great gratitude that we announce that Professor Zhiqi Chen, Executive Editor of the International Studies of Economics (formerly Frontiers of Economics in China), will leave office on July 1, 2022, as his tenure expires and his new appointment as Managing Editor of Canadian Journal of Economics starts.
Professor Chen joined the FEC editorship as Co-Editor in 2011 and became Executive Editor in 2013. With extensive experience and deep insight in journal management, manuscripts handling, policy-making and cooperation issues, he has made extraordinary contribution to the journal. The past decade has been witnessing rapid progress in the journal’s recognition and internationalization - we owe much to Professor Chen’s dedicated efforts.
Professor Yonghong An from the Department of Economics at Texas A&M University will begin his first term as Executive Editor of the International Studies of Economics in July 2022. Professor An obtained his Ph.D. in economics from Johns Hopkins University (2011) and his research focuses on microeconometrics and its applications to industrial organization, labor economics, and experimental economics. He has published in leading economics journals such as Journal of Econometrics, RAND Journal of Economics, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
