International Studies of Economics (formerly Frontiers of Economics in China), published by Wiley on behalf of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Co-Editor, Dr. Kai Zhao, Associate Professor of economics from University of Connecticut, bringing fresh blood to the team and a driving force for the journal at a new development stage.

With a Ph.D. in economics from University of Western Ontario (Canada), Dr. Zhao specializes in macroeconomics, income and wealth inequality, social insurance, the Chinese Economy, and has published many articles in refereed journals including Journal of Monetary Economics, International Economic Review, Review of Economic Dynamics, Journal of Economic Dynamics & Control, and European Economic Review.
